The Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden is now available to reserve for two-hour events approved by the venue. Up to 25 people may attend with parking provided on-site. Parking on residential streets for private events is prohibited as a condition of our permit. No vendors are allowed other than photographers but food delivery and picnics are welcome.

Scheduling

Your event may take place Monday through Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday before the garden opens to the public.

Purchasing a Permit

Numbers include everyone attending including photographers, assistants and children over four.

1 to 25 people: $500 for two hours

There is a $25 per hour charge for a staff member to be on site for your event.

An additional hour may be purchased for $250.

A refundable Security Deposit of $500 is due with the rental fee and will be refunded within thirty days unless there are damage or cleaning expenses incurred by the garden as a result of your event.

A Certificate of Insurance naming the garden as an additional insured is due at least one week in advance. Professional photographers can easily take care of this insurance requirement or you can purchase a special event insurance policy from our preferred online vendor.
